CATALYST TELECOM NAMES MIKE FERNEY VICE PRESIDENT OF MERCHANDISING

GREENVILLE, SC - February 08, 2010 - Catalyst Telecom, a sales unit of ScanSource, Inc. {NASDAQ: SCSC}, and value-added distributor of voice, video and data convergence solutions, has named Mike Ferney as its Vice President of Merchandising. Ferney brings more than 13 years of distribution leadership to this position, having most recently served as Vice President of Sales for the ScanSource Communications sales unit.

Ferney was instrumental to the growth and success of ScanSource Communications, having spent more than eight years in management roles with the Company. He was responsible for the management of the sales, business development and technical services departments, as well as the integration of the sales departments for the 2007 merger of Paracon and T2 Supply, which became ScanSource Communications. Prior to this, Ferney was with Paracon, where he served in sales and business development roles.
In his new position, Ferney will manage the strategic direction and management of Catalyst Telecom’s vendor relationships, including enhancing joint marketing efforts and overseeing the inventory management side of the business. Ferney will provide leadership to the Catalyst Telecom merchandising team as they continue to grow and strengthen the company’s valuable vendor partner relationships. He will report to Catalyst Telecom president, John Black.

Ferney graduated from Clarkson University with a BS in Industrial Distribution. He is married with one child.
